El ministerio del tiempo / The Ministry of Time (Comedy)
Three officers from different eras work for a secret government agency, guarding Spain’s past against time-traveling intruders trying to manipulate history for their own ends. You won’t find crazy impossible science concepts here but rather a lot of Spanish history, art, and literature played out by well-developed characters. The series was launched early 2015 is on its 3rd season now.

La casa de papel / Money Heist(Drama)
One of the most popular foreign languages shows on Netflix to date, with hordes of fans from around the world. A criminal mastermind who goes by “El Profesor” has a plan to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain making it the biggest heist in history. By assembling a team of eight known criminals who adopt city names from around the world as their code names, the exciting storyline, and the cast of this production is unmissable! It’s a 2 season (4 part) show which aired in 2017 and already the gang’s masks and overalls rival iconic shows for the most recognizable TV costume of recent years.

Las chicas del cable / Cable Girls (Drama)
A Netflix period drama portraying when Spain opened its first national telephone company in the late 1920s Madrid. For four young women who get jobs there it represents the progress that is being made at the time as women are gaining more opportunities in the fight for equality. It’s easy to get hooked on the plight of four young women of the time learning to navigate a progressive workplace, as well as their love lives. The series is now on its 5th season since airing in Spring 2017.

El tiempo entre costuras / The Time in Between (Romance)
This adaptation of the same-titled novel by María Dueñas, premiered in the fall of 2013. Follow the life of Sira, a young and attractive seamstress living a humble life in Madrid who is consumed by the love for a man who left the turmoil of Madrid prior to the Civil War. Watch how Sira becomes embroiled in a twilight world of espionage and political conspiracy rife with love, intrigue, and betrayal. The series ran from October 2013 through January 2014.

Aquí no hay quien viva (Comedy)
The life of a community of neighbors and the conflicts that arise from living in the same building. The story of different lives intertwined in gossip and full of humor. A Spanish favorite that ran for 5 seasons between 2003 -2006.
